What We Do

The mission of Appalachian Assistive Technology Loan Fund (AATLF) is to provide access to assistive technology (AT) through no-interest loans to individuals with disabilities and older Kentuckians and their families to gain greater independence, productivity, and inclusion in the community.

Notice: Program Eligibility Update

Due to current funding uncertainties, AATLF is shifting its focus to ensure the long-term sustainability of our mission. Starting February 1, 2026, new loan applications will be restricted to Kentucky residents meeting low-to-moderate income guidelines.

To determine eligibility, AATLF will use the higher of the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s income threshold or the resident’s specific county limit.
